Travel Workout Tips

8:2

A fun little article…Happy Travels!

  1. Get active first thing in the morning. If you wait till your day gets going and everyone is up and around, it’s easy to set it aside, which means it may never get done.
  1. Keep with weight training, even if you don’t have weights and you have to do plyo-metrics or lunges, tearing down the muscle each day means your protein calories are going to good use
  1. Pack your best workout clothes. Look great feel great, play great.
  1. Play great music. Spotify baby! Get it. Browse the “get happy” playlist, then create your own personal playlists that are ready for you any time.
  1. Bring your supplements, essential oils, protein powders etc. Get travel sizes and keep them on hand and don’t abandon what makes you, “you” just because you’re in a new place.
  1. Plan ahead and stay full on healthy foods.

I could live on eggs and toast, salads and turkey sandwiches.

Even though I love all kinds of food, I always eat these first and stay full on my go to healthy favorites.

When it’s time for dessert, or dinner out, I can eat a little bit of whatever is there, but I’m never starving and so I don’t over eat.

Being hungry to save calories is a bad idea and set up for indulging.

Stay full on healthy foods and you never have that problem.

“When I keep my commitments to myself, I respect and trust myself.”

That’s the real reason to do anything.

Biz Tip: Be Comfortable Being in a Process

Jul25

What I have learned from creating many new products and programs is that you never feel ready.

And you never ARE ready–until you do it.

Most new things emerge first as rough and disassembled at first.

Eventually you bring order to chaos. You carve out the segments, refine the steps, put it in packaging and decorate the box. Usually you do it all over again for rounds 2, 3, and 4.

You’re never ready for any of it and you do it anyway.

Because DOING IT gets you ready.

This is where some perfectionists go mad. We see you all twisted up, devouring food, muscle relaxers, and sleeping pills.

I know you want things to be orderly and just right and timed to the fairy tale calendar made in your mind.

If you are building anything, or even expanding it, it’s disorderly.

Learn how to be comfortable with things being in process.

That is a SKILL all its own and it will allow you to free up tons of emotional and mental energy so you can give all of it to what you’re creating.

Grace and Hustle

Grace and Hustle

(How I Let Go and Finally Arrived) It’s no secret to people who know me that there are two distinct parts of my personality that set up camp opposite each other. There’s the warrior-like business bomber on one side and the Zen-mamma spiritual healer on the other. They switchback and forth throughout the week like a ping-pong ball in a high-speed match. I love meditation and internet marketing as equal children.

I love sitting on my couch drinking one single cup of tea for an entire evening dressed in a robe then swaddled in a blanket as much as I love getting 3 days of projects done in 24 hours. We never know which side is coming to down to breakfast or if the same one will still be there at dinner. What we do know, is that each part gets enough play time to make a happy life made of many things, especially variety.

But for about a three month stint the warrior side staged a take-over and injected consistent bouts of serious hustle into my schedule…goals, lists, and projects all with a certain end game in mind.

In the middle of month three, I could do it no longer. I fell face first into a prayer and expressed my heart to the Powers at be. “ I have done all I can do here and we’re still not there. I’m exhausted. My brain hurts, my cells are tired. I am turning this over to you. Tell me what’s next.”

Let go.

That was the answer and it’s often the answer for a LOT of things we are pushing too hard to achieve, but it’s not that easy to do when you’re huffing down cell phone minutes like a life-line.

Just to be sure I had it right, I prayed again a few days later and I got the same answer.

Let go.

“Well, I’m too tired to consider any other options, so here, have the phone—it’s out of data, anyway.” I found a couch and a blanket and some good meditation music and delivered the rest of the attachments over to Him that evening.

And here’s how it went after that…

For three months, it was hustle, hustle, hustle and we inched along.

Then. One. Gust. of Grace blew in…and we breezed into the finish line two weeks later.

(I’m a child.) Or maaybe —

after ALL we can do, or AS we are doing what we can, we get the grace.

Perhaps all sides of this work together.

Hustle, then let go…                                                                                                                                 And allow grace do it’s job. It’s always a smoother ride up there anyway.

Biz Tip: The Right Tools

The Right Tools

Bruce Lipton, the father of Epigenetics, found that 95% of our decisions are made because of our subconscious beliefs…so if you think and feel things that you don’t want to (but you don’t know why you do),a SUB-LAYER belief system is definitely in play.

The good news is that any BELIEF can be changed with the right tools, which leads to a different OUTCOME.

When people realize they have a choice, and that choice will change everything, they start examining more closely the LENSES through which they have been looking at the world.

The work I do with my clients is working on sub-layers of their belief systems so their lives can be aligned with who they really are, and what they really want (instead of the things that they don’t want, that they don’t even know about.)

The first place to start is to look at the way you view the world and ask:
“Is this working or not working for me?”

Best Business Card Templates that Actually Increase Sales

5

Did you know that most business cards get thrown away or stashed in a pile and never used. (Quick quiz: How many people have you called from the stack of cards you have on hand? My answer: 1 out of 50)

That’s sad because a business card … feels like a rite of passage, doesn’t it? It’s the first thing most new business owners want to get their hands on.

I remember the day I picked up mine at the printer and the exact band that was playing on the radio while I drove. I felt like I had arrived, (so sweet and innocent I was back in the day.)

So, it’s sad that most business owners don’t know how to create these cards or use them so they don’t end up in the garbage can.

Go to this link and download the PDF that I email you about creating marketing materials, you’ll see the “Best Business Card template” (right about page 10.)

http://HeatherMadder.com/launch

This will help you learn how to create better business cards and then follow these tips when handing them out!

  1. Don’t leave the responsibility of contact to your new prospect. Keep the follow up in your court, and get permission to put them into your contact list.

It sounds something like this, “Sarah, I’m going to give you my business card, but in the meantime, would it be okay if I send you my Free __________________ (insert the name of your free offer from your website)?”

Take down their name and email and immediately put it into your email list.

I mean, immediately. Even if you have to open up the window to your website and type their email into the window right then and there, do it.

You’ve probably heard people say that “fortune is in the follow-up” yes?

Well, so is “fall flat on your face” which is where many business owners are when it comes to getting back to their contacts.

Either put them into your website when you take their name, or, do it right after they walk away, and don’t do anything else until you have. The last thing you want to do is have this priceless contact info on a random piece of paper or on a loose business card that could get lost or misplaced. (That’s like flushing $100 down the toilet.)

If your head says to you: You don’t have time right now.

Please reply back: I do not have time to lose money either.

If they seem like a great prospect to do business with you, let them know that in addition to the free info, you’ll be texting or calling soon to check in on them.

Then — DO IT. (when you say you’re going to.)

If you don’t do it, people won’t take you seriously, and they will brush you off.

If you do what you say you’re going to do, they get the message that they matter and if they are a genuinely interested customer, you’ve just warmed up the lines of future business by many degrees.

Oh, and when it comes to that free offer, if you don’t have one created yet, listen to my entire 3 step series and you’ll get some templates and creation tips on how that’s done!

Have a great day!

May your marketing materials lead to hot new customers ready to buy from you (and not to recycling bins)

The Biggest Enemy to Your Success is This ONE Thing.

You are free to create whatever you want in your life.

Creation is a few very simple steps… (repeated over and over again)

DESIRE => INTENTION => ACTION => ACHIEVEMENT
When this process is clear and un-obstructed, you can get what you want.
You can start a new business and succeed at it.
You can set a goal and experience yourself achieving it

Unfortunately, creation has an enemy and the enemy is inside of you.
It’s the MIND.

The mind is a MASTER RECORDER and the contents of the mind will play back the unfilled needs and failure of your past.
(and sometimes even your parent’s past)

This continual replay of the past, IMPEDES the PROCESS of what you are trying to do TODAY.

It’s CLOUDS what is otherwise a clear runway and makes taking off difficult, even terrifying for some people to go for what they want!

THE PAST–or your memory and interpretations of the past–are your biggest HINDRANCES.

What most people don’t know about the universe is that it’s set up to help you succeed at what YOU want.
And you may not know that. It’s almost like the earth wants you to be a brilliant success.
The universe has a natural way of things unfolding in their own time and way.  It’s the same with your personal goals and dreams, just like it is with the weather.

If you will get out of the way with the creation process, you will see that you are destined to succeed far GREATER than a little mind linked to a limited past can imagine.

And you will see how NATURAL it all is.

You FEEL a DESIRE, a goal you want to achieve.  yellowhighthoughts
That goal becomes an INTENTION, a wanting, a desire moving into activity.
Then you ACT. You go get things done.  You move, you complete tasks.

The doing comes naturally. You know what to DO, whom to talk to, when to ask for help and what questions need answered first.

It’s simple. It’s powerful. It’s like something wants to be created THROUGH you, and if you open your mind and stop worrying about failure, and let your heart play totally and completely FREE in a huge realm of what’s possible NOW (not what used to be impossible back then) you will love every minute of what you are doing.

Another way of saying this is…. YOU ARE FREE RIGHT NOW,

But YOUR PAST is YOUR ENEMY keeping you down.
And your mind HOLDS the ENEMY right inside your very own thoughts.

Every creative, powerful thought you have is being shot at with arrows.

If you can clear your mind, you will  see the enemy where it lies and not take it so seriously. Eventually those arrows turn into marshmallows and you don’t have any reaction but laughter when thoughts of failure come.

This is the process.

To be your very own best friend.
You feel GOOD ENOUGH NOW.

Let yourself DESIRE every good, wonderful, successful thing you possible can imagine.

And recognize that you were born to be a CREATOR from on high, this moment, with the project that’s in front of you, on this brand new day that you’ve never before had and will never have again.

And that the whole thing is completely untouched waiting for you to crush it.

When you are THAT clear; THAT powerful.
I dare you not to succeed.

You already know you will.
