How to keep a clear mind

Hey, I know you’ve got a lot to do and you’re probably amazing at staying super calm, patient and clear minded all the time … haha :) but in case you’re like me and you need a little help with that, I’m going to give you my top 3 tricks to getting in your zen space, even when you have a lot to do!

Tip 1: Meditation

Three years ago, I hired a meditation teacher for about $150 an hour to my house and train me on his techniques and it was amazing.

About once a week :)

What I needed was DAILY practice, but I lacked the discipline and know how to give this gift to myself so when I found this app, I was ecstatic.

Did you know that in under 30 minutes a day, Harvard researchers found that meditation will actually chain your brain chemistry?

It decreases your fight or flight response and increases your rational thinking ability, the problem with most people is they feel they don’t have TIME.

This handy little app will give you 5 minute meditation options all the way up to an hour and even sends you REMINDERS throughout the day.

Imagine me in my office at 1pm, hours into my work day getting a reminder that says, “Are you present?”  I love it! It’s just what I need!

Tip 2: Peppermint & In Tune Essential Oils

So of course, you knew this was coming, an essential oil tool and the reason I love these babies is because they do the work for you!

A few months ago, I woke up every day for three days with brain fog.  I couldn’t get my mind clear and it was really frustrating me.  I’d look at my work schedule and I felt like my communication was hazy and losing impact.  On the third day, I was driving to pick up my daughter from her friends house and my mind completely cleared. I felt like the foggy glass I had been looking through was shining perfectly bright again.

“Wow, maybe a drive was all I needed,” I thought.

But then I remembered I put In tune on the back of my neck right before I left the house and I started to laugh.

Duh!  Why didn’t I use this oil three days ago?!

That’s how I got my testimony of in tune and peppermint has a similar effect on me. I keep a roller bottle in my purse at all times and have been known to use it on strangers I’ve just met (with permission, of course :)

I love to diffuse peppermint and wild orange in my office during the day because it keeps me alert.

Think about that for a moment.
You might not feel like you want to put in that kind of effort or even spend that money, but how much are you LOSING because your mind is not working on maximum impact.

For me, an hour at work at my highest level is worth 3 or 4 hours of time on a lower energy level.  I can’t afford *not to do these things!

TIP 3: Create Your TOP 3

Top 3 is a little phrase in my community that signals us to the highest, most effective action that will yield the highest results that we want.

I keep notecards handy in my office and my desk, and haha, I’ve even been known to keep these in my bathroom vanity because for some reason, I get mad inspiration when I’m doing my hair.  Go figure, BUT…

let’s say I want to increase my sales for the month and that’s my goal.

Here’s what I WOULD NOT Do.

I wouldn’t walk around thinking, “I wonder if we’re going to make it.”
I wouldn’t check every single team in my back office and if I see any kind of lag, think, “Oh no, we’re not going to get there.’

Blah. Gross. That makes me want to vomit.

I would go to a much HIGHER place, of belief, radical positivity and massive action.

Here’s how to use TOP 3.

**Write on a note card what you want.  Mine might look like this:

We break $2 million in sales this month.  (I write it in the present tense as though it exists NOW.)

**Then, I write down my TOP 3 effective actions for me to do that will get me the highest results. Only 3. I focus all my energy on HIGHEST IMPACT.

I might write down…

Close all my new leads.
Do an enrollment webinar
Promote incentives to builders

I go all out on action, not stress.

During that time, here’s what I would NOT do.
Surf social media, bob around here and there with my activities.
Nope. I’d become super protective of my time and DO EXACTLY what was going to get me where I wanted to go.

It would keep my head clear and my emotions calm so I could use that energy to MOVE
(not to stress!)

So…there you go!

Remember, you really can do this.
You can achieve the big goals you have in your life and keep your mind calm and clear at the same time!

Madd love baby!

Heather
